Alejandro Palma has participated since 1996 in different voluntary organizations such as the Association of Guides and Scouts of Costa Rica, the Meritorious Fire Department of Costa Rica and Youth and Vocational Ministry of the Costa Rican Catholic Church, among his experience we can highlight between 2006 and 2013 as Founder and Manager of the SME Technical and Information Services of Costa Rica (SETICR), between 2013 and 2015 as administrative consultant in the United Nations System (UNDP), in transnational companies such as Millicom 2016 - 2018, since 2020 as portfolio manager of projects with the position of Project Officer in the Business Alliance for Development (AED) in Costa Rica, he has also worked in NGOs such as Humentum in Washington DC, giving virtual tutorials in project management for development and the humanitarian sector in Latin America in 2021; He has experience in organizing massive face-to-face and virtual events in 2013, 2019 and 2021 editions for non-profit associations such as the Project Management Institute PMI and AED in Costa Rica.

Facilitator by vocation and conviction, executive coach, specialist in project, program and portfolio management with 20 years of experience as part of project teams in the private sector and in non-profit organizations in Costa Rica, 10 years as project manager , 2 years as portfolio manager, 2 years implementing agile and high performance teams.

He is a University Technician in Project Management from the National Technical University in Costa Rica (UTN) and a Specialist in Project Management from the National University of Costa Rica (UNA), he has been certified by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Public Management for the Development and Management of Projects for Results or PM4R (Professional, Leadership and Agile), certified Project DPro Foundation by PM4NGO's and certified in SCRUM Foundation, Master and Product Owner by Certiprof among others.

He is an advisor on project management issues and has participated ad honorem in different initiatives. He is currently a founding member and member of the board of directors of the Latin American branch of the Association for Citizen Participation IAP2; engages and works to bring best practices in project management, agility, and sustainability from the private sector to nonprofits.

He speaks Spanish and English.
